Valentina Gottlieb
Valentina Gottlieb graduated with honors State J. Vitol Academy of Music in Riga, Latvia. She holds Masters degrees in Piano Performance, Chamber Music, and Pedagogy from that Academy and a Doctorate from the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music. Her teachers include Prof. Konstantin Blumental and Prof. Nathan Perelman. At age 15 Mrs. Gottlieb performed J. S. Bach and O. Taktakishvilli Piano Concertos with J. Medina college orchestra. Several her programs were recorded and broadcasted by Latvian State Radio and TV. Living in the United States since 1994, Mrs. Gottlieb performed solo recitals for the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, International Committee of the L.A. Philharmonic Association, CSU Dominguez Hills, cycle “For the City and World” (Latvia 1999), Gala concert celebrating the 800th anniversary of the city of Riga (Latvia 2001), 5th Music Festival in the city of Casal De L’Espluga De Francoli (Spain 1999), solo recitals and annual Multi-Piano Extravaganza concerts at CSU Long Beach, Irvine Chamber Music Festivals Victoria Chamber Music Festivals, Classical Music Encounters of Southern California. In October 2006 Mrs. Gottlieb was invited to Riga, Latvia to open a concert series “The Masters and the Apprentices”. Mrs. Gottlieb teaches at CSULB.
