2024 Chamber Music Competition (open to all branches)

Competition Date: Saturday March 9, 2024

Registration Deadline: Saturday February 3, 2024 by 11:59 PM (PST)

Location: Irvine Valley College (5500 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine, CA 92618)

COMPETITION RULES AND GUIDELINES

Categories

Elementary: Ages 11 & under (Time Limit: 10 min.)
Junior: Ages 14 & under (Time Limit: 10 min.)
Senior: Ages 21 & under (Time Limit: 12 min.)

Application Fee: $45 per group member

Awards
First place, Second place, Third place & Honorable Mention from each category.

Select prize winning groups will be invited to perform at the Prize Winners' Concert presented by 'Classical Music Encounters of Orange County' on Sunday March 10 at 4:30 pm.

Repertoire Requirements

Any chamber work consisting of 2 to 8 players. Multiple movements may be performed if the
time limit is adhered to. Please refer to the time limits listed above and omit repeats if necessary..

Rules

1. Age is determined by the date of the competition. Each applicant is required to submit a proof
of age (a copy of driver’s license, birth certificate, etc.). NOTE: Each group should determine which age category to enter using the average age of the group members.

2. The decisions of competition judges are final.
3. There are NO REFUNDS of application fees in the event of non-participation.
