Stephanie Getz

Flutist Stephanie Getz performs regularly with the Orchestra Collective of OC, classical chamber ensembles, an international folk music group and church music ministries. She has recorded two solo albums and performed on multiple labels for other musicians.

 

Originally from North Carolina, she began playing the flute at age eight, while living in England. Further musical studies were at Interlochen Arts Camp for three summers, and at Bowling Green State University, where she studied with flute professor Judith Bentley and received Bachelor of Music degrees in Performance and Education.

 

Stephanie has performed in various capacities across Europe and throughout the United States. She performed in Israel with the Jerusalem International Symphony Orchestra, in the Jean Pierre Rampal International Concours in Paris, in Yale University’s Norfolk Festival, and at the Boxwood Wooden Flute Festival (Canada). She was a soloist with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, a semi-finalist twice in the Avery Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition, and an Artist-in-Residence through Chamber Music America. She has taught in schools in New York City, Ohio, Alabama and California.
