Gloria Traullé

 

Gloria TraulleGloria Liu Traullé received her Master of Fine Arts degree in Cello Performance from the California Institute of the Arts, under Casare Pascarella, Robert Martin, and Erika Duke. She has performed internationally with the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, Olympia String Orchestra, and Clap & Tap Chamber Orchestra. She has also performed locally with the Mozart Classical Orchestra, the Garden Grove Symphony Orchestra, and the Orange Coast College Symphony Orchestra, among many other local and community organizations.
Currently, Gloria serves as the State & Greater Los Angeles Solo Competition Chairperson of the American Strings Teachers Association (ASTA), as the Certificate of Merit Strings Chairperson of the Music Teachers Associations of California (MTAC), and as the Strings and Woodwinds Chairperson of the Musical Arts Club of Orange County.


Gloria is also an active teacher of students of all ages and levels. Her students have won competitions at the local, regional, and state levels, and many have gone on to become university music majors. She coaches the Fountain Valley High School Strings Orchestra, and has also been an instructor as part of the Taiwan Theological Seminary Music Department, and in the Taipei FuHsing Elementary School Music Program for the Gifted. Additionally, Gloria served as the Music Director of Formosan Presbyterian Church of Orange County for twelve years, and while in that capacity coordinated the church’s Youth String Ensemble.
