Carrie Kennedy has soloed with orchestras throughout the US including the San Antonio, Richardson, USC, Torrance, Suburban, Brevard Festival, Clear Lake, Westchester, Solano, and Magic Valley Symphonies. She won 1st place in the National Federation of Music Clubs Young Artists Competition with two years of concert engagements and 1st place in the American String Teachers Association Competition. She is an alumnus of Tanglewood and Amelia Island where her quartet was coached by the American, Guarneri, and Takacs Quartets. While at Stony Brook, Kennedy’s quartet studied with the Emerson Quartet. She holds a Masters from State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she studied with Pamela Frank, and a BM from USC with Robert Lipsett. She is a member of the Musica Angelica Baroque, Pasadena, and New West Symphonies. She also performs with the Riverside Symphony and Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra, and has toured with Andrea Bocelli and the Percy Faith Orchestra of Japan.
