Agatha Hou

Agatha Hou studied at the Musickhochschule in Frankfurt, Germany and with Johanna Harris in Los Angeles, California.

She has been the accompanist to principals in the Taipei Symphony Orchestra. In addition she accompanied Hanz Pizka’s French Horn Concert, and the Montreal Jazz Ballet, both in Taipei. 

She has been a staff accompanist at the University of Redlands, and the Jury Secretary of the Rachmaninoff International Piano Competition. Current activities include being the MTAC Pomona Valley Branch Bach Festival Chair, CAPMT District IX Honors Auditions Chair, Evaluator, Certificate of Merit, MTAC, and an adjudicator for a number of competitions and festivals including SYMF, Bach Festival, and Sonata Festival. Agatha is a member of MTAC CM Syllabus Committee. 

Agatha is a regular performer, both as a soloist and as a member of a chamber ensemble, for the Tuesday Musicale, St. Cecilia, and Dominant Music Club. She also performed at the Liszt Conference in Virginia.
