Youngsook Park

Youngsook Park received both her Bachelor and Master Degrees of Music from the College of Music at Seoul National University in South Korea. She continued her studies in Germany - musicology at the Frankfurt Goethe University and Diploma in Piano Performance at the Cologne Musik Hochschule under Professors Gunter Ludwig and Wolfgang Hess.

Her students have received top honors in many competitions such as MTAC (Music Teachers Association of California) Young Artist Guild, CM (Certificate of Merit) Panel Honors & Master class, SYMF (Southwestern Youth Music Festival), Bach Festival, Korea Times, Glendale Competition, San Jose Beethoven Competition, Bartok Competition, Honor Audition, MTAC State Solo & Concerto, Cypress and Walker. Her former students have gone on to study music at some of the nation’s premier institutions including The Julliard School of Music, Eastman School of Music, Peabody Institute, Oberlin Conservatory, Indiana University, Northwestern University, Manhattan School of Music, Rice University and the USC Thornton School of Music.

She has been on the faculty at Kyunghee University and also has taught at the Sunwha Art School and Seoul Art School in Korea. Currently she is an adjunct faculty at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut and serves on the board of non-profit music organizations, Celebration of Young Talent and Southern California Junior Bach Festival. She is frequently sought after as a judge and maintains an award-winning studio in Diamond Bar.
