Additional JCM Performance Opportunities
External Performance Opportunities
One of the advantages of joining a large chamber music organization like JCM is the network of teachers involved in the program. Throughout the year, diverse organizations contact JCM to recruit our groups. A sampling of the events our groups have played for are:
Grand Opening of the American Doll Store (including Hollywood actors)
NAACP Image Awards Luncheon in Hollywood
Pasadena Montgomery Clyde Concert at Shumei Arts Center
CSUF Master Classes, UCI Master Classes
Rising Stars Concerts at Irvine Barclay Theatre
Pacific Symphony Concert in the Parks
Throughout the season, JCM students will receive newsletters and emails regarding additional opportunities to perform.
JCM-Student Service Alliance
(JCM-SSA)
Sign up to perform in retirement homes. This is a wonderful way for students to perform for the community. Students need to announce their piece and something interesting about it for the audience and are encouraged to interact with residents after the concert. All groups will receive 5 hours of Community Service and many smiles from the appreciative residents. Available to all groups.
