Every President’s Day weekend, JCM groups travel to the beautiful Idyllwild Arts Academy for an intensive weekend of daily rehearsals, coachings, and performances. Students make new friendships with other groups, and deepen their connection within their own group. In addition to music, there are outdoor activities, s’mores, games, and camaraderie with the faculty and students from this renowned arts boarding school.

Every two years, JCM invites top groups to join an Honors Tour. National destinations have included Carnegie Hall/The Juilliard School in NYC and Harvard/New England Conservatory in Boston. International destinations have included Salzburg, Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Tallen, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Rome, Florence, Venice, Verona, Berlin, Hamburg, and Leipzig. Upcoming 2025 tour will be to Seoul, Busam, Tokyo, and Kyoto. JCM staff work extensively with international connections to create a tour that is both musically educational (master classes, coaching, performances) and culturally inspiring. We encourage family to join this tour to create lifelong memories celebrating students’ musical achievements.

As JCM has a network of hundreds of coaches and teachers, opportunities are always present to collaborate with many coaches’ festivals, competitions, and special events.
