Samuel Kim
Samuel Kim started playing the violin at the age of 9. He attended the Orange County High School of the Arts and received his BM from Eastman School of Music and MM from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He is currently working on his DMA from Claremont Graduate University.
Samuel Kim performed at various concert venues and he was invited as a concertmaster for the Inaugural Concert for the Korean American Youth Symphony in 2006 and performed at Walt Disney Concert Hall. As an active chamber musician, he performed at Weill Recital Hall in 2019 and was a member of the violin faculty at California Orchestra Institute in 2020.
He loves to teach and is very passionate about the next generation of musicians. Currently, he teaches privately in his home studio. His teachers include Dr. Chan Ho Yun, Henry Gronnier, Kevork Mardirossian, Lynn Blakeslee, Dr. Ernest Salem and Daniel Shindarov.
