Mirrors Trio
Elliot Yu, 15, has played clarinet for five years, and is currently a student of Portola High School in Irvine. He was an active member of the Irvine Honor Symphonic Band as a first clarinet chair for four years. Elliot was a participant of the California All-State Band as a first chair in 2016, and the All Southern California Wind Ensembles in 2016 and 2018. He also performed for the Southwestern Youth Music Festival (SYMF) in 2016, and placed 2nd in the Open competition.
Elliot was a member of Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensembles (PSYWE) in 2017 that was awarded first place in the symphonic band division of the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival and Competition in Vienna, Austria. Since 2016, Elliot has been performing as a member of a trio in Junior Chamber Music.
In his free time, Elliot listens to music and plays tennis.
David Morgan (17) began playing piano at age five. He has attended IIYM (International institute for Young Musicians), Colburn Music Academy Piano Festival, and Warsaw Piano Workshop at the Fredric Chopin State School of Music. He has taken master-classes from professors such as Norman Krieger and Craig Richie. David is currently a junior at the Orange County School for the Arts (OCSA). In addition to solo performances he enjoys doing piano accompaniment for fellow OCSA instrumentalists.
Andrea Roy is a 16 year old cellist in his third year in JCM. Andrea has been studying the cello for eight years and currently studies with Laszlo Mezo. He is a junior at University High School, where he plays varsity basketball. He also placed first in the 2017 SYMF Open Competition and is a member of the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra. In his spare time, Andrea enjoys playing basketball and chess, and spending time with his family.
