Jing Peng

Jing Peng is currently a member of the Los Angeles Opera. She holds both a BM and MM from the New England Conservatory, where she studied with Kim Kashkashian and Laurence Lesser on a full scholarship. She later completed post-graduate studies at the Colburn School under Paul Coletti and Teng Li.

Jing has performed soloist with the Boston Modern Music Project, recorded Kubik's Symphony Concertante at Boston’s Jordan Hall, and with the Eureka Ensemble in the Music For Food concert series. She also performed with the orchestra for Mistral Music’s Hope & Harmony Benefit Concert, conducted by Sir Simon Rattle, in Jordan Hall.

An avid chamber musician, she has participated in festivals such as Marlboro, Ravinia Steans Music Institute, Four Seasons, the Perlman Music Program, and Yellow Barn's Young artist Program, collaborating with renowned artists like Nobuko Imai, Miriam Fried, Itzhak Perlman, Peter Wiley, Marcy Rosen, Ida Kavafian, Jonathan Biss, Lydia Brown, Scott St. John, and the St. Lawrence String Quartet.

In addition to her chamber work, she has performed with numerous orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, New York String Orchestra Seminar, and in chamber music series such as Boston’s Mistral Music, Winsor Music, and Wellesley Chamber Players.
