Gaufrier Trio
Ethan Yoshioka (piano), 16, has studied piano for twelve years and has participated in many competitions earning first place awards from the Southern California Junior Bach Festival, CAPMT, and MTAC VOCE. He has received awards from ENKOR, International Liszt Competition, SYMF, Mozart Festival, and the Los Angeles Bach Festival Concerto Competition. Ethan is a student of Dr. Felix Tao Chang.
Thompson Wang (violin), is a 10th grade student of Crossroads Arts & Science School. Winner of Westside Concerto Competition and OC Symphony concerto competition, performing with SMC Symphony Orchestra and OC Symphony Orchestra in May and August. Discovery Prize from YMF Concerto Competition, Honorable mention from Culver City Concerto competition and Classics Alive Foundation's Young Artist Competition.
Sedong Hwang, 14, is currently working with Stan Sharp, a teacher at the Colburn School of Music, and Robert deMaine, the principal cellist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Sedong won second place at the ASTA LA-Finals, and qualified to move on to the ASTA State Finals. This is his 3rd year in JCM. He is the 2015-2016 ASB president of Rancho San Joaquin Middle School.
