Beethoven Duo

Jiin Yun, a 17-year-old senior at the Orange County School of the Arts, is a cellist who began her musical journey at the age of 6. Under the guidance of Professor Joon Sung Jun, Jiin's talent has flourished, earning her the prestigious title of YoungArts 2024 winner. In 2023, at just 16, she made history as the youngest principal cellist of the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA), leading the 10th Anniversary North American Tour. In 2022, she was the assistant principal for the National Youth Orchestra 2 (NYO2).

Jiin’s most recent achievement is her selection for From the Top’s national radio broadcast, which will be aired in April 2024. She has won numerous international awards, including Grand Prize at Enkor International Music Competition. In 2023, she performed Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme with the Southern California Philharmonic Orchestra after winning the SoCalPhil Young Artist Competition.

As a chamber musician she enjoyed Junior Chamber Music for 9 years, and was titled as the Debut Artist for the last 3 years. She was honored to be selected as the semi-finalist of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in 2022.

Jiin is expected to attend Harvard University in the upcoming fall semester.

Anna Audenis, 18, started playing the piano at the age of five and has since charmed audiences and judges alike with her thoughtful and musical interpretations. Most recently, Anna won 1st prize at the Junior Chamber Music concerto competition, 1st prize at the Southwestern Youth Music Festival, and additionally, was one of the seven winners at the PianoTexas 2022 concerto competition. Throughout her music career, Anna also won 2nd place at the Los Angeles International Piano Competition and placed 1st at the Kathryn Gawartin Chopin Competition. Furthermore, Anna is a 1st place winner of the Great Composer’s International Piano Competition, a 2nd place winner of Music Teachers National Association of California, and over the course of several years has earned numerous top prizes at the Southwestern Youth Music Festival. Anna also placed 2nd at the San Jose International Piano Competition and at the Krystian Tkaczewski International Piano Competition. Since 2014, Anna has been an active honor member of Junior Chamber Music and for the past 4 years has held the title as a JCM debut artist.
