Ashley Kim

Ashley Kim began playing cello at seven, attending the Yewon Middle School of Music, Seoul High School of Music, and Seoul National University. She pursued further studies in the US at Juilliard, earning a master's degree, completing Advanced Studies, and partial studies for Doctorate.

Throughout her successful music career, she won numerous competitions, such as the Joongang, Dong-A, KBS, and Yeeum competitions. As a soloist, she has performed with the Yewon Orchestra, Seoul High School Orchestra, and Seoul National University Orchestra, as well as Seoul, Daejeon municipal orchestra, and KBS Symphony Orchestra. She toured Japan with the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra and participated in the Kusatsu Music Festival.

Ashley held recitals at prestigious venues, including Juilliard's Paul Hall, Biola University, Landon Gallery, and Seoul Arts Center. She was a member of Koilliard Ensemble and San Bernardino Symphony, and toured Ecuador and Chile as a principal cellist of Del Gesu Strings. An active teacher at her private studio and Santiago Canyon College, Ashley Kim continues to inspire through her music.
