Sharon Jackson

Jackson is a veteran performer and teacher. She has taught violin and viola at Cameron University and Oklahoma Baptist University and coached at Quartz Mountain Fine Arts Camp, Los Angeles Youth Orchestra and Mira Costa Symphony. Many of her former students have become professional musicians and music educators. Sharon has performed with numerous orchestras including Long Beach Symphony, Pasadena Symphony, New West Symphony and Oklahoma City Philharmonic. She has performed throughout Europe and has been solo violinist for the chamber groups Coriolan Ensemble, Go For Baroque and Aural Illusions and she is an active chamber musician. Sharon is a recording artist, playing film and television soundtracks as well as records. Her television appearances include the Tonight Show, The Grammys, Ellen and American Idol. She holds bachelor and master degrees in violin performance from the University of Oklahoma where her principal teachers were Michael Ma and Felicia Moye, both students of the famed teacher Ivan Galamian.
