Originally from Connecticut, Rebecca Merblum began her cello studies at the Hartt School of Music. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, while serving as a Preparatory Assistant throughout her studies. She went on to earn her Master’s degree from the New England Conservatory. She has participated in festivals including the Juilliard Quartet Seminar, the Takacs Quartet Seminar, the Advanced Quartet Studies Program at the Aspen Music School and Festival, ENCORE School for Strings, Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival and Yellow Barn. Her chamber music appearances have included tours through Switzerland with the VOX Piano Quartet in 2000 as well the Yellow Barn Winter Tour in 2001. Rebecca serves on the faculty of the Pasadena Conservatory and the Santa Monica Conservatory.
